Congratulations Future Boundary Growers - Thank you for being a part of the Future Boundary Growers. The goal is this project is to stimulate interest in agriculture by Boundary students of all ages. Growing our own food is an important part of our areas sustainability for the future. We are able to partner this pilot project with generous support from Country Road’s, Neufeld’s and Durand’s Green Houses. Our hope is that students write to their local papers with their experiences growing these plants, learn proper horticultural practices, learn how to preserve the vegetable or frit. In September, we hope they will bring their finished plant and/or product to their respective fall fairs, for ribbons of completion and prizes for best project. Doug Zorn – President, Grand Forks & Boundary Regional Agricultural Society
The Grand Forks Fall Fair would like to congratulate you on becoming one of our future growers. After you spend the summer watering, fertilizing, and nurturing your plants, we invite you to enter them in the Fall Fair in September. The rules and entry forms can be found in the Fall Fair catalogue which will be available at local merchants starting min July. Bring your entries (Grand Forks) to the Curling Rink September 5th between 10 am until 6 pm deadline, and they will be judged and viewed September 6th and 7th, or (Rock Creek Area) to the Fall Fair on September 12th, and they will be judged September 13th and 14th. On the last day of the Fall Fair at the awards ceremony we invite all the growers who entered to come up on stage to receive a special presentation. More information can be obtained at 442-3817. Thank you and Good Luck!!
