You may be interested to know that Perley Elementary is a very child oriented school that reflects today's society. We strongly believe in teaching students to be respectful, caring citizens. Relevant and logical consequences for inappropriate behaviour form our discipline policies. Discipline is the operative word, not punishment or harsh treatment. The staff at Perley strive to treat our students as we would treat our very own children. We provide a loving, caring and respectful environment filled with fun and choices. Sometimes students make the wrong choice, but we are there to correct their mistake. We believe that it is better to learn from one's mistakes, than to have a severely controlled environment where there are very few choices. Many new students and parents to Grand Forks have commented on how much they enjoy Perley.

Several notable programs make our school exceptional. One is our Fine Arts Program where students are given many opportunities to learn music, sing, play instruments and perform on stage. Our tecnological programs are second to none in the province or for that matter, in Canada. Our school has received several commendations over the years.
